Parker, Paige, Kyle, to name a few. Choices- characters in Handcuffs make choices. Some of them are good and some are maybe not so good or smart. Consequences- for every choice there is a consequence. Self Image- or being comfortable with yourself. As a self proclaimed Ice Princess, Parker has decided some things about herself.

She also has to contend with a hateful classmate blogging lies about her, the question of whether or not she will lose her virginity to badboy Hottie and what will happen if she does. But the result is an interminable list of repetitive thoughts that often slow the action to a standstill. The sluggish climax and too-neat ending will cause patient readers who hung in for all plus pages to feel that they received little reward for Herculean effort. Overwritten and under-plotted. An emotionally engaging closer that fumbles in its final moments. Korean-American Lara Jean is finally settled into a nice, complication-free relationship with her white boyfriend, Peter.
