Estudio experimental de conexiones columna-losa postensada aligerada. ISSN In this work we present the experimental results from assays under cyclic loading of interior slab-column connections of a structural system consisting of lightweight post-tensioned slabs without beams. This system is being used in Mexico, with no experimental evidence to support the design methodologies employed. It was studied the connections at 1 to 1 in small prototypes. Five specimens were tested, one reinforced with stirrups and the other four bolts reinforced with shear connectors.
A reversible cyclic test simulated the seismic behavior and was controlled by displacement. We conclude that, with some limitations discussed in the text, both braces are appropriate and can achieve displacements exceeding those provided for these structures in the Mexican Standards NTC for the design of concrete structures.
